He did come in and get the save in the 14th inning of game three of the 2005 World Series after pitching seven innings in game two. And according to legend, he was not sober when he did so.

As much as I love Mark Buehrle, I don't see him as a Hall of Famer.

But a World Series ring, a perfect game, and a no-hitter all in a White Sox jersey is enough to get #56 a spot on the facade behind home plate and (most likely) a statue out on the promenade.

A lot will depend on the next few years for MB. If he ends up on a contender that would help. I could see the Jays trading him in the offseason. He makes a lot of sense for the Cardinals and he's a MO guy.

Agreed the Chi Sox should retire #56 after he is done.

That's right I remember that. The walk off HR game from Scott Pod was a great game. As was the clincher. That was a really good series despite the sweep.

Yeah, it really was. Two one-run games and two two-run games (one of those being the Geoff Blum game).

So it looks like these are the pitching match ups for the various game ones tomorrow. I'll run them across tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Halladay vs. Maddux/Price
Greinke vs. Martinez
Schilling vs. Smoltz
Clemens vs. Johnson

That's a lot of Cy Young Awards.

Kaius, I don't have a game one lineup for you, but I know you've been simming a lot on your own. Should I just assume the default lineup that comes up when I search for your team is your game one lineup?

So I lost the game because Biggio was behind the plate. Awesome.

Well, Buehrle negating Maddux's performance had a lot to do with it too.

Are you set for game six, or do you want to make changes? We're back at Coors, and Price is pitching for my team. I'm hoping to run it before I head to work.

Ok I'm going to start Justin Hamilton in game 6. I'll keep Biggio behind the plate. If I get out of this series (strategy) I'll revisit that strategy.

Good series, 4/5.

I'm off to work. I hope you guys are ready for tomorrow.
