D. Willis smacks a solo HR to RF that barely clears the wall.
badass. It's too bad you can't hit him seventh!

Santana was pretty solid there for those 5 innings.

His pitch count was only at 83. Why take him out? He was mowing them down.cutuphalfdead wrote:Santana was pretty solid there for those 5 innings.

Meanwhile, my team had Hernandez up to 155 pitches while getting lit up in the ninth. Odd.The Argonaut wrote:His pitch count was only at 83. Why take him out? He was mowing them down.cutuphalfdead wrote:Santana was pretty solid there for those 5 innings.

Putting Edmonds in for Sizemore was the only change I made heading into this game. That's what we call manager's intuition.cutuphalfdead wrote:Damn, Jim Edmonds.

I have to go back and look through the box scores to see how each game actually went, but when I saw Edmonds went yard I thought "wow, nice move Phil!"philpritchard wrote:Putting Edmonds in for Sizemore was the only change I made heading into this game. Numbers is up 2-0, and heading back to Fenway Park. That doesn't bode well for #BRL.

Re: Post-Strike Baseball Tournament: First Round!
Haha thanks! I even questioned what I should do about it because I was subbing in a lefty for a lefty, but at least Edmonds hit lefties well.Lament wrote:I have to go back and look through the box scores to see how each game actually went, but when I saw Edmonds went yard I thought "wow, nice move Phil!"philpritchard wrote:Putting Edmonds in for Sizemore was the only change I made heading into this game. I still wish we could have a DH. It would be nice to have Bagwell or Olerud in the lineup once in a while.
