I'm checking that one out right now, and I'm on the second song. First one was alright, but a little too "rock \m/." The music in the second track's much better, but then there's Mark Lanegan there to get in the way. Not sure I'm too keen on these vocal collaborations.

I don't know why I bother pre-ordering albums, they almost invariably take months to arrive.

I've heard very mixed reports on the Lanegan tracks, I'll be interested to (finally) hear them.

Legendary Argentine musician Gustavo Cerati passed away last week, after four years in a coma. He was the lead singer and guitarist of Soda Stereo, a hugely influential Argentine rock band from the 80s. I was never a fan of Soda Stereo but I like his solo stuff. Here's a song I've been listening to a lot.
