Gamestop has started giving more money for trade in games over the last month, after not giving you shit for years. Got $25 for Need For Speed Rivals, which is now free on EA Access.

Good deal. I caved and bought it last night. Should arrive tomorrow. Wife is out of town this weekend so I'm going to get some good gaming in while she is away.CopperTom wrote:I enjoyed my first day of Destiny.

Check with Best Buy. They gave me $10 more than Gamestop offered the last time I traded a game in.scrub12 wrote:Gamestop has started giving more money for trade in games over the last month, after not giving you shit for years. Got $25 for Need For Speed Rivals, which is now free on EA Access.

I was just trading it towards Diablo 3 so I didn't inquire about cash.Monkey_Driven wrote:Do they give you cash or a Best Buy gift card?tommymctom wrote:Check with Best Buy. When I have the choice, I've been switching the difficulty to hard.red calzolaio wrote:i tried a mission the other day at level 5 and bumped the difficulty up to 12.CopperTom wrote:I'm only level 6.red calzolaio wrote:what level are you guys?CopperTom wrote:I tried to solo one. i tried the PvP the other night and now realize why i got my ass handed to me. these guys all have better weapons and such. i might not go back to PvP until i complete the game and roam around a bunch.

What are your thoughts on the game? The reviews I read said thet the game didn't live up to the hype. That essentially it's just another FPS that isn't breaking any new ground

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
I played the beta for a couple of hours and nothing struck me as mind-blowing. I was playing on a PS3, and it was an earlier build, so that might have something to do with it. But I'm also not really a social gamer, and the single-player stuff just didn't tickle my fancy. But still, when the price goes down, I may give it a shot.Rangi Guy wrote:What are your thoughts on the game? The reviews I read said thet the game didn't live up to the hype. Re: The all inclusive video game thread
well, it's true that nothing ever lives up to the hype. this is not just another FPS. i think of Call of Duty or even Battlefield as being just another FPS no matter how many perks or destructible environments there are.
anyway, how much different can a game be? i just don't see anything ever being groundbreaking beyond maybe the story.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
A game doesn't have to be groundbreaking to be good. I'll post my impressions of the game sometime this weekend after I get in a few hours. I had almost no interest in the game prior to the beta but I had a great time.
