I'm so torn on these boxes. I woulda bought a Pearl Jam one, but I couldn't catch it when the XLs were available, and the Eddie box, ... I just thought there would be too much I didn't want in it.

Very good deal. I would have bought an XL. What is that site though?

Fukubukuro ("lucky bag", "mystery bag") is a Japanese New Year custom in which merchants make grab bags filled with unknown random contents and sell them for a substantial discount, usually 50% or more off the list price of the items contained within. The low prices are usually done to attract customers to shop at that store during the new year. The term is formed from fukuJapanese (福, meaning "good fortune" or "luck") and fukuro (袋, meaning "bag"). The change fukuroof to bukuro is the phenomenon known as rendaku. The fuku comes from the Japanese saying that "there is fortune in leftovers" (残り物には福がある). Popular stores' fukubukuro usually are snapped up quickly by eager customers, with some stores having long lines snake around city blocks hours before the store opens on New Year's Day.

Now Chris who runs a band merchandise company in the US first saw these in Japan several years ago and instantly became fascinated with them. I have to admit as someone that enjoys buying mystery tubes of posters this is cool. His goal is to bring this wonderful cultural experience to the US and his customers. That is why the name is FukuBox. Now you have the chance to buy a Lucky Box.

You have your choice with these as well. There are boxes from Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, blink 182, City & Color Ames Bros and more. There are boxes for girls and guys so you can knock out some easy Christmas shopping with out spending a lot of money.
