You're gonna start him in game seven if it comes to that, aren't you?

No. That's why I positioned Hamels in game 3/7 not 2/6

If I look too closely at the box scores I get mad.

Cole Hamels gave up 1 run through 4 on a solo HR. And walks the first two of the 5th (his 8th and 9th baserunners) and gets pulled with less than 90 pitches. Those 2 runs subsequently scored off the reliever.

Ubaldo gave up 9 baserunners (5 walks) and only got 1 out. Walks 4 out of 5 after a HR, and Still gets to pitch to another guy?!

Yeah, but it was still the top of the first. I dunno, when I looked at the box score and saw that he left with the bases loaded, him being left in as long as he did didn't strike me as being as insane as I expected it to be. I can see where you're coming from though.

if it was hits, yes. The 5 walks (including 4 of the previous 5 batters) is what's crazy

You need to fire your manager.

Actually, I wish this site let you pick managers for the Dream Teams, and took their tendencies into account while simulating.

I would have labored over that decision.

I would've taken Terry Bevington so I knew who to blame when I inevitably lost.

Probably would have grabbed Tom Kelly, or the obvious choice, Francona.

I would have picked John Gibbons in a heartbeat. He's awesome.

What's actually pretty cool is that my roster is pretty close to the roster I would have assembled had there been no draft. These really are my favorite players. This is partly due to my (I hope complete) avaoidance of steroid-tainted players. I wish I had remembered to draft Derrek Lee over Carlos Quentin, and I would take Derek Jeter over Jose Reyes. Ichiro would replace Crawford, also. Maybe throw Zito in there over Oswalt or Cone. For the most part, though, this is the team I would have put together.

Looking at the rosters, that's pretty common. Especially beyond the early rounds where it was a lot tougher to pass on the TOP guys numbers wise (A-Rod for example).
