I saw Calvary with Brendan Gleeson yesterday. It was really good, and the perfect movie for him. It perfectly showed off all his best qualities, the power and the kindness that you see just looking at him. The ending

Watched 'Dredd' today. It was actually pretty good. Great action. A lot more gore than I anticipated.

maybe it's because i'm sick and didn't feel like nit picking, but i didn't think the lone ranger was bad at all...i'm surprised how universally panned it was

Just rewatched Cannibal Holocaust for an upcoming podcast episode. That movie is a goddamn masterpiece, an experience. I'm convinced it's one of the deepest, most challenging movies ever made.

Great film rangi.
I fell asleep long before the end of tree of life. So what, it's like koyaanisquatsi but wit a bare storyline?
I'm unlikely to try it again. Though it looked amazing.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Went and saw Into The Storm over the weekend. Pretty much what you'd expect from this type of movie, but it was enjoyable.
Watched the 2nd Jurrasic Park last night as I hadn't watched it in many years. There were many bits in there where it looked like the animators just went 'Meh - that's good enough I guess' with the dinosaur animation.

Re: What movies are you watching?
It's still better than the third one. I'll go and watch the fourth when it comes out, but I'm holding much hope that it'll be goodred calzolaio wrote:i remembering thinking how terrible that movie was when i saw it in the theatre.Rangi Guy wrote:Watched the 2nd Jurrasic Park last night as I hadn't watched it in many years. Read somewhere that they're remaking the Jurassic park films but following the books more closely. Any truth to that?
