A short film created by Garrett Kennell and David Light. Dot is a dark comedy about a 16-year old girl with a severe case OCD. So severe that she must compulsively kill anyone she sees making a mess. Dot isolates herself from the world, fearing that she'll be forced to kill anyone who comes close. When Theo enters her life, the struggle intensifies.

I need some recommendations. Nothing is moving me lately. I want to watch something great. I'm 30 minutes into The French Connection and mostly bored.

Yesterday we watched:

2 Guns - Wahlberg and Washington were an odd but fun pairing. Entertaining flick.

About Time - it's what I had to watch in return for watching 2 Guns. I enjoyed it. Funny and quirky. Just don't try to make sense of the time travel logic as it doesn't make sense.

was fucking shite. Ruined the movie for me until I forced myself to forget it. Having the murderer be the least developed character in town, and the one that someone else had vouched for as non-violent, was both a cheap and obvious twist. And actually doing what he did was pointless and felt just plain cruel.

The wife and I have been talking about seeing Boyhood; seeing as the trailer made us both embarrassingly choked up, that probably gives a reasonable indication of how we'll likely feel about it.

You never know, though, maybe I'll hate it. Probably not though, I've always enjoyed Linklater's films.
I just read that this film is almost three hours long, forget it.

That is dumb and offensive. An Irish director makes a movie in Ireland with Irish actors about Irish characters in Ireland, dealing with "sort of central" Irish themes, but it's not an Irish film because that's basically a bad brand name because a lot of Irish films suck (supposedly). It's a nonsensical, twisted way to sell a movie. And it certainly doesn't display a lot of "INTEGRITY," which is WHAT THE MOVIE IS ABOUT! Yuck.
