I was thinking the other day it'd be pretty great if the site allowed you the option of viewing the play-by-play at the top of the screen and the final box score at the bottom.

Or if it actually simmed it in play-by-play fashion where you could kind of watch as plays happen. That would be great.

Arencibia is not good at baseball. Neither is Nick Martinez.
In his major league debut, Arencibia delivered one of those performances you'll never forget as a fan: first pitch home run, followed by a double, a single and another home run in his first four at bats. He went 1-for-33 in the rest of his August/September cup of coffee, but he actually put together a couple of decent (though far from great) seasons in Toronto before he decided he's a run-producer who shouldn't be taking walks and blaming his shittiness on the media.

I remember watching him at Tennessee. Has some upside. Lots of pop but a backup catcher at best.

I remember him blaming the media haha. My buddy saw the Band Perry this summer (his wife is the singer) and he is a Rangers fan as well and he yelled your husband sucks. She looked pissed he said.

Think he was tempted to not touch home on the second HR to get charged with a 3B instead and get the cycle?

That would be so uncouth. It's like when guys miss a shot on purpose so they can get the rebound they need for a triple double.

It was really weird. Rogers owns both the team and the media giant that broadcasts all their games, so Arencibia publicly stated that Gregg Zaun and Dirk Hayhurst (Rogers analysts) shouldn't be saying bad things about him because it gives fans a negative perception. I mean... maybe try not being terrible at baseball and then they'll have something positive to say about you.

Dioner Navarro is having a pretty solid season in Toronto, but he looks like Ivan Rodriguez compared to the disaster we've seen the last couple years.

I wanted the Rangers to sign Dioner Navarro last off season. Nice little stop gap before Jorge Alfaro (our 2nd best prospect and a top 5 catcher prospect) is ready which should be 2016. Maybe 2015.

I've just been keeping track of decisions, saves, and home runs as they come up. I wasn't able to find any decent stat tracking software that actually worked when I downloaded it.

Kaius scores three in the ninth and gets the tying run to first with one out only to see Pujols and Sheffield come up empty.
