I just can't vote against St Vincent, The Mynabirds and Tom Waits. Stip has three great songs by three of my all time favorite artists. He's also got a pretty decent Pearl Jam song. So there's four of my top five favorite acts. And Fiona Apple and REM and Leonard Cohen. He's got a great team. As much as I hate admitting it.

Thanks, man. I was happy to make it that far.
I vote Stip. This was tough. Dig both teams. LMS has my 2 favorite songs out of the 20 (Holocene and Helplessness Blues) but Stip has the deeper squad.

other than St. Vincent and Mynabirds I think every song on that list represents an artist I have an established affiliation with. Well, cloud cult, but I've drafted that song before in other places, and had it on my secret santa mix. And I do really like that first mynabirds album. The St. Vincent pick was a bit of a 'give the people what they want' selection but I do think that's a great song (it's on my go-to current favorites playlist)on what is otherwise a hit or miss album for me. But I did want to have a few artists that started this decade, rather than carry overs. It did take up a space that I would have otherwise given to Amanda Palmer or James (though the latter's output is not impressive this decade). I also really wanted to draft Avant Gardner, since I fell head over heels in love with that song. The rest of her album is pretty good, too.
