I have, and love it. Would love to see the whole band do that, Life During Wartime, or Road To Nowhere.

we should make a rule that all suggestions cant be grunge-related or classic rock. this thread would barely get past 2 pages.

with that said, they should cover mudhoney and the doors.

I don't think I want to hear Pearl Jam cover anything new at this point. Basically because of the way Ed sings. Even when they nail it, like they did with Mother, I still can't get passed the breathy-ness and warble of Ed's voice. Plus, when they nail a song like Mother, it's just a straight on version of a played to death classic rock song, there's nothing special about that.

If I want them to cover something I want it to be a little bit out there. Even if it's a pretty standard song in terms of it's arrangement, I don't need to hear them do another Who or Neil Young or Pink Floyd song. I'm thinking more along the terms of Timeless Melody from the 2k tour. But even then, I don't know how much I'd enjoy it the way Ed sings now.

If Pearl Jam evolved they way I wanted them to, and they way I thought they were evolving in the early aughts, I'd have a nice little list of songs I'd love to hear them perform.

My favorite cover to date is I Believe in Miracles.

I would love to hear Poor Girl.

If I could pick a Soundgarden song I think they could rip up 4th of July.

Ever since Limp Basket butchered if, I thought they should play Behind Blue Eyes.

Ain't Talking Bout Love was cool and I think they should let Mike have his way more often.

Since I love making lists- here are my top 10 PJ covers I have seen live.

10. Waiting on a Friend (6-23-06, Pittsburgh, PA)
9. Kick out the Jams (10-3-04)
8. Soldier of Love (10-21-01)
7. Can't Help Falling in Love With You (10-22-00)
6. I Got You (9-5-00)
5. Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns (9-11-11)
4. Love Reign O'er Me (6-24-08)
3. Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love (5-15-10)
2. Baba O'Riley (9-02-00)
1. I Believe in Miracles (10-22-03)

Hard to leave off RITFW, Fuckin' Up, I've Got a Feeling, and Timeless Melody).
I didn't consider tags.

As a one-off, I've always loved their cover of "25 Minutes To Go."

The first time I listened to this I couldn't enjoy it because I was so nervous, all the way through the song, about when Ed was going to mess up the lyrics.

:) He messed up the count a few times. Doesn't take away from the performance for me though.

I'm also really digging their DC 2004 cover of "Masters of War." Might be my favorite version they've done.
