Listened to Leeds today and it's as good as people have said. Mostly perfect performance/energy/etc til Ghost, which starts out great but they flub near the end. Sirens has its usual lyric problems, but it also feels like the band is off too. But after that, they're pretty much spot on, even on the rarities.
Great performances on tons of songs. Eddie gets a bit long-winded at times, but it's never the drunk/cringeworthy stuff, though he does keep trying to add to the crowd-participation even when they're already clearly involved. But this is a rarity: a modern-day PJ show that I didn't attend that I will give repeated listens.
there's a concerted effort to get to Bruce's level, on this tour..and that's nowhere more apparent than the choice to upscale to bigger rooms, but especially in eds banter onstage...Leeds has him in better mood onstage than I can ever remember hearing. Maybe just a good day? maybe a bit more focused and god forbid calculated..PJ having been 'a party band' to the determent of their message, for too long now...according to some people..not me i think it suits them and to be ever the angry young men blatting out the mysterious dark vibe up to angry (old) men playing angry young mems music, would look ridiculous...

i'm 5 beers in..make of that what you will
Think there's a false dilemma here. ' Angry old men' and 'party band' aren't the only two options.
I remember being there thinking Tremor Christ sounded fantastic, and the boot shows that it did. Just wish it wasn't tuned half step down. It's a great live tune, they should play it a bit more often live (only 11 times since 2000) as it really carries well.
Alright, the Leeds lovefest continues. I'm listening right now after getting through Hartford (which seemed like the 2013 show of choice). Leeds slays Hartford.
Of the Girl is a nice early treat, but even PMPM was spot on and enjoyable. I also loved this version of Sirens with the crowd getting into it. Epic!
