Brooks is the most deserving of that team.

That was the one I was happiest about too. I thought he should have been in years ago--hell, I once thought he was already in.Mecca wrote:![]()

Saw this today and got to thinking: http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/stor ... ends-early
For reference: http://www.baseball-reference.com/playe ... jo02.shtml
I think the answer is probably "no," but it coulda been a "yes" if he had won a CY or two (it sucks that during his best season, CC was in his prime). I think it'll be fun in the future to reminisce about his two great post-seasons, but that's as far as it'll go.

Which hat does a guy like Beltre' wear? Hard to really identify him with a single team.

I'd say Rangers. Not being a homer. He has had a few of his best years, ALDS MVP and was a strike away (in two different innings) from a ring in Texas.Bammer wrote:Which hat does a guy like Beltre' wear? Hard to really identify him with a single team.

Re: Will he be a Hall of Famer?
Personally, I think Beltre SHOULD get in, but I think IF he will depends on who is voting at that point. No MVP's. Somehow only 4 gold gloves. Has had some great seasons of late, but really only had 2 great seasons (and only one HOF worthy) in his first twelve. If he gets in it will ultimately because he hits some of the milestones writers love (both 3000 hits and 500 HR are reachable with 3 more solid seasons).

Re: Will he be a Hall of Famer?
Beltre only has 4 gold gloves? Wow.
Who else has stolen them from him over the years?
Manny Machado? Did ARod get any at 3rd?
