Sounds like a sad yet effective method of transportation.

Re: Concerts you've been to recently
Went to Music Midtown last night specifically to see Eminem. He was good but the sound was not, it got a little better as the show went on. Bass & reverb is very hard to get right live, especially at festivals. He was only on stage for just over an hour and a half. The setlist shows nearly thirty songs but there several abbreviated versions, I know My Name Is/Real Slim Shady/Without Me in particular all got run together. Which is kind of sad; even though he's a crazy talented rapper I always liked his silly material better. Of course Lose Yourself was the closer. That was awesome; it's easily one of my favorite songs from the '00s.

Ceiling Gazing (Just Nick on guitar, Mark standing center-stage and singing)
Encore:
Tiny Cities Made of Ashes (Modest Mouse cover)
Rock 'n' Roll Singer (AC/DC cover)
You Missed My Heart
Small gig finding Koz in an interesting mood. He noted that he figured his requested appearance was due to Pray for Newtown off Sun Kil Moon's latest release, he explaining it was an amalgamation of mass shootings not simply Newtown. He felt "that playing the song would be in bad form so he will not but he hopes to play some beautiful music for us and that we enjoy the evening."
It was billed as a solo gig but he was accompanied by Nick, from the Sun Kil Moon touring band, on electric guitar. I actually think I preferred this as the sound in the room was quite good and the acoustic/electric paired very well. This limited the song selection to more recent stuff but wasn't the only reason, Koz denied fairly staunchly that he didn't have a song called The Light and this was just before I was going to shout out Lost Verses. He also tried to remember Find Me, Rubén Olivares but could only muster the music and first line.

Ok Qotsa blew my mind once again..i ve seen these guys now 5 times now and they are better than ever. Not just the music, the attitude, the light show; pretty much everything.
Only thing i can ask for is to play In The Fade next time, with Lanegan. And I Appear Missing.

He is backed by both. White America was played, pretty early in the set but don't remember if it was a full version or not.
