Chuck E Weiss, apart from being the inspiration for Chuck E's in Love, is a 70 plus LA institution and has just released the album Red Beans and Weiss, which is a fun listen throughout. Musicians are excellent and Weiss himself can certainly hold your interest at the mic. Varied styles and overall good stuff. Here's Tupelo Joe:

Estrogen Highs Hear Me on the Number Station

Solid bros from CT of all places probably just put out their best record yet. Someone else said, and I totally agree, if these dudes were from OZ people would be losing their shit.

Really enjoying the Sunny Day in Glasgow album from earlier this year. A beautiful, jarring exercise in controlled chaos -- some songs almost feel like 2-3 different, incompatible songs being played simultaneously, competing for attention. Not an easy listen but worth the effort.
