Re: Interstellar (Nolan)
So far, Nolan has listed Star Wars, Blad Runner, 2001, and The Right Stuff as influences, and has said, "The further that you travel out into the universe, the more you realise [your humanity's] in [your heart].”
I assume he followed all that up with an apologetic "I have to go now, my planet needs me," and promised to be back in time for the premier. But I don't know.

Seriously, what the fuck does that even mean? That's competing with that dumbass "Love is the only thing that transcends time and space." line from the trailer in terms of sheer platitudinous bullshit.McParadigm wrote:"The further that you travel out into the universe, the more you realise [your humanity's] in [your heart].”

there are damn smart movies that could function just as well as plays given the camera's status as a non-entity, and the reliance on dialogue and staging as the sole facets of craft. but are those great films or great screenplays?durdencommatyler wrote:You're right.
