So far, Nolan has listed Star Wars, Blad Runner, 2001, and The Right Stuff as influences, and has said, "The further that you travel out into the universe, the more you realise [your humanity's] in [your heart].”

I assume he followed all that up with an apologetic "I have to go now, my planet needs me," and promised to be back in time for the premier. But I don't know.

Empire have a huge Interstellar feature in this new issue, and a big West Wing retrospective...I may have to buy it..

there are damn smart movies that could function just as well as plays given the camera's status as a non-entity, and the reliance on dialogue and staging as the sole facets of craft. but are those great films or great screenplays?
