Regarding Is This Desire?
This has been the most challenging listen for me so far, but it's starting to hit me pretty hard.
Electric Light feels like it is actually shooting through my brain.
I really like this description.Lament wrote:I love how subtle and moody it gets, and how it's got an almost a detached, emotional chill to it while still being as intense and soul-baring as the first three albums.

It's an album that demands your time, but makes it all worthwhile.
For what it's worth, The Sky Lit Up is my favorite PJ Harvey song.
After a while you take it for granted because she does it so effortlessly, but the artistic leaps she makes and changes in directions she takes in between records is just insane when you go back and look at them.

I'm getting back on track with my PJ Harvey trek. Stories… is taking hold now.

In the voice interview, one of the questions that got edited out asked what album I would take with me to a desert island. I picked Stories.

Those first three songs from Stories really are something else.

Stories is owning me lately. Solid fucking work. So many standout moments. I keep thinking it feels like a proper summer album, but it was released in October.

The same day as Stankonia, All That You Can't Leave Behind, and The Dynasty: Roc La Familia if I remember correctly.Kaius wrote:I keep thinking it feels like a proper summer album, but it was released in October.

Never mind, tickets already sold out. Phew. Somerset House is great though. Saw Joanna Newsom there.
