Sorry, bro. It was a close vote that went through several committees, but ultimately, we decided that the work-out thread should shed its conservative weights/running past and work towards diversity and inclusion. We had always tolerated strat's yoga in the past, but now we are officially celebrating it. A press release will be issued shortly.4/5 wrote:Why didn't you tell me this before?turned2black wrote:You're in luck, the work-out threaders recently OK'd the inclusion of Jazzercisers.Self wrote:I'm gonna start gettin' in a little better shape soon. I have no idea. Looks like he got hair plugs after he initially dropped all the weight.Chloe wrote:It's so awful now. Is that a current picture?
Here's a better recent pic. He looks fairly doable.
True Fact: He was in a Fellini movie.

Re: The Work-Out Thread
Awesome workout today after being a little slack lately. Good hour with weights then 1.8 miles on the treadmill in 20 minutes. Was only planning to do a mile and half but kept on it and then back to a few more upper body exercises. Exhausted and sweaty as I left but felt great. Something about my Saturday morning workouts; they're consistently the best ones of the week. Not in a rush for a 30/45 minute quickie or too tired from a long day at the office and feeling like I have to be there.
Summer's coming.

10ish miles in 80 minutes
Barefoot in the park today. The grass was short, so it wasn't as much of a trudge as it normally is. The park was packed, but I never had to alter my circle. It was overcast and a little cooler. I have no idea what the distance of my circle was, so I don't know how far I actually ran. 10 miles would be my guess. Very enjoyable. I should barefoot more. Another 10 tomorrow.

Weather has just been amazing this week. High 50's to mid 60's. Good swim yesterday. Fastest trail run time in a long time today. Will hit the slopes for some snowboarding tomorrow.Strat wrote:Skinned 3 miles up the mountain in the snow with me pup, skied down. 2 hour round trip. Beautiful blue skies and corn like snow. Only cloud in my sky is having to blow off a 10k (6 mile) event in April to watch my kid's band play an event up at Whistler. Will make a weekend of it though. Things looking good for the half marathon set for May and a run in June that's only about 15k (9-10 miles) but with an elevation gain of 5,000 feet. It's brutal, every step is uphill. I did it two years ago and finished 98th out of 102 in my age bracket, 101 and 102 did not finish.
Men may never experience the pain that is childbirth but women have no idea how painful stupid male pride can be. And they only have a couple kids and can always get an epidural, while we men, we face the pain of stupid male pride throughout our whole lives.

My last marathon was uphill. I loved every second of it. I really wanna do the Pikes Peak Marathon in the next couple of years.surfndestroy wrote:Things looking good for the half marathon set for May and a run in June that's only about 15k (9-10 miles) but with an elevation gain of 5,000 feet. You'd like the run here called The Knee Knacker. 50k pure mountain running race.
But seriously, you enjoy running uphill for a whole race?

Dime sized blood blister on my foot. Am I better off piercing it and draining it or leaving it be?

Re: The Work-Out Thread
Got 2 hours of softball practice today, and while it wasn't constant, i got some good sprints in and the throwing and hitting is going to have me pretty sore in the morning. And though i am still getting a bit winded running for the ball, i recover really quick so i am definitely noticing a big difference because of all the running.
