Re: All-Time Franchise Baseball Tournament: DAY TEN RESULTS!
But seriously...
The last two columns are "good" and "poor" defensive plays.
I just added things up to determine the number of batters faced because I didn't want to have to go through all the games again (IP*3+H+BB+HBP or something). I've left sac flies out up until now because I REALLY don't want to go back through all the games again.

Batters faced isn't the same as ABs though. They give you numbers for Batters Faced and At Bats in the advanced pitching stats section.philpritchard wrote:But seriously...

You're right. I don't know why I included BB and HBP in there.cutuphalfdead wrote:Batters faced isn't the same as ABs though. They give you numbers for Batters Faced and At Bats in the advanced pitching stats section.philpritchard wrote:But seriously...

You'd have to subtract BB, HBP, SH, SF, and Catcher's Interference to do it that way. When I saw they just gave you the Pitcher's Faced/At Bats breakdown I just went with H/AB to get it.philpritchard wrote:You're right. Real talk....
All this stat shit is incredibly fun. I need to find the time to get on board with statnation.

if only chud brought the same verve and attentiveness to detail to conversation that he brings to fictional baseball scenario data aggregation and analysis, RM would be blessed

the only bucket in which he finds himself on a regular basis is the one with colonel sanders on itdoug rr wrote:do you think chud steps in the bucket when facing a mean breaking ball?Alex wrote:if only chud brought the same verve and attentiveness to detail to conversation that he brings to fictional baseball scenario data aggregation and analysis, RM would be blessed

Thats what Im using, kinda. It just wasnt worth it to worry about the SH, SF, etc to make it 100% right.cutuphalfdead wrote: You'd have to subtract BB, HBP, SH, SF, and Catcher's Interference to do it that way. Mine is H/(IP*3+H) is my basic "at bats" which i use for the BAA and BABIP.

Why not just take the exact at bats they give you?@SkitchP wrote:Thats what Im using, kinda. Were going to have enough teams keeping stats to come up with a decent WAR.

EJ, Phil, your changes have been noted in the OP.
Argo and TBAMTS, I'll hold off on simming your games until you let me know what your changes are (but make sure to post them by tomorrow afternoon at the latest, otherwise they'll have to wait for the next set of games).
