Re: All-Time Franchise Baseball Tournament: DAY TEN RESULTS!
Day eleven matchups
Tigers - Cubs
at Detroit: Morris (R) vs. Jenkins (R), at Chicago: Lolich (L) vs. Brown (R)
Rangers - Royals
at Texas: Ryan (R) vs. Saberhagen (R), at Kansas City: Darvish (R) vs. Greinke (R)
White Sox - Orioles
at Chicago: Walsh (R) vs. Cuellar (L), at Baltimore: Cicotte (R) vs. McNally (L)
Reds - Yankees
at Cincinnati: Walters (R) vs. Hunter (R), at New York: Smith (L) vs. Guidry (L)
Blue Jays - Pirates
at Toronto: Halladay (R) vs. Candelaria (L), at Pittsburgh: Clemens (R) vs. Friend (R)
Expos - Indians
at Montreal: P. Martienz (R) vs. Perry (R), at Cleveland: Rogers (R) vs. Feller (R)
Red Sox - Cardinals
at Boston: Grove (L) vs. Gibson (R), at St. Louis: Ruth (L) vs. Caruthers (R)
Mariners - Astros
at Seattle: Fleming (L) vs. Scott (R), at Houston: Iwakuma (R) vs. Dierker (R)
Let me know if any of these are wrong. Like I said a few posts ago, in the case I run this really early in the morning I will hold off on the Yankees' games and the Cubs' games until I get their changes (assuming they get in before tomorrow afternoon). It probably stands to reiterate that while I do most of the simming early in the morning, if you let me know in advance you're making changes, I can give you until the afternoon (when I post the results to get them in).

There you go. Now make a comment about how the Expos logo looks like a doubledick and you're golden.

At least I don't bother with half assed inaccurate stats in my spreadsheet.
Oh wait, I'm supposed to diss Jorge.

Oh wait, Jorge is playing the Doubledicks tomorrow. Of course I'm going down.
The Cardinals, however, don't stand a chance.

Same here. When I decided to add it (just today, actually) I was trying to do it without having to go back through the old games. I'll probably end up doing it eventually anyway.@SkitchP wrote:Because it was one more thing to type in, and I wasnt going back to games already done.cutuphalfdead wrote:Why not just take the exact at bats they give you?@SkitchP wrote:Thats what Im using, kinda. It just wasnt worth it to worry about the SH, SF, etc to make it 100% right.cutuphalfdead wrote: You'd have to subtract BB, HBP, SH, SF, and Catcher's Interference to do it that way. When I saw they just gave you the Pitcher's Faced/At Bats breakdown I just went with H/AB to get it.
Mine is H/(IP*3+H) is my basic "at bats" which i use for the BAA and BABIP.

Re: All-Time Franchise Baseball Tournament: DAY TEN RESULTS!
Just to up the nerd quotient in this thread, I already have OFF, DEF and BsR columns in my spreadsheet. BsR is pretty easy. DEF is complicated, but I'm sure we can work something out. OFF is complicated too because I'm not sure what to do about weights, but I actually have a basic wOBA already. We'll have to share our spreadsheets at some poitn to come up with league totals and go from there.numbers wrote:Were going to have enough teams keeping stats to come up with a decent WAR.
