Opening Bands?

Post by Iholdthepain »

Maybe I'm just a bit out of touch, but I can't find any info on opening bands this tour. I'm taking the Frow and Squid to the Denver show on 10/22... Showtime is officially 7:30. The Squid has a 30 minute piano lesson at 5pm in Ft. Collins. If there's no opening act, it looks like we'll have to skip the lesson, otherwise it looks like we can do both. Any idea what time PJ is taking the stage?

TMI, I know, but I'm a "Train of Thought" kinda guy ;)

Pretty sure no opening acts at all this tour. There wasn't at the Lincoln show I went to. It's being billed as an "Evening with Pearl Jam" I assume. The start time in Lincoln was 7:30 but it did not start until 8:10-15 due to some issues with security. So I'd plan on being there when the ticket says. Just one dude's opinion.

Thanks. Looks like we'll be skipping piano lessons.

Hoping for a Pendulum or Release opener for the Denver show. Last year, when I saw them in New Orleans, they opened with Sirens...

No opening band. PJ has hit the stage around 8 give or take a few minutes.

I saw someone mention they have never played release in colorado before? So, heres to hoping!

With all the CO shows I'm surprised they have not played Release. It has not been played since 6-28 in Sweden. One would think they will dust it off at least once this tour. Release and Indifference are for sure on my wishlist (no pun intended) for when/if I see PJ again.

The way they've been botching Indifference lately, I don't care to hear it live again. Ed skipped an entire verse when they played it earlier this year. :shake:

Release live kinda frightens me, too, but I've never seen/heard it played in person.

LOVE Pendulum as the opener!

He went straight from the first verse to the bridge on Wash in Memphis, then made up something for where the bridge is. Can't wait get the boot to see what he says.

Show time in Memphis was 7:30, as well, but they didn't hit the stage until between 8:10 and 8:15. No opener.

On the Lincoln boot you will notice the first verse of Ledbetter is just the fans singing. Ed's mic went out. I was shocked to hear it actually. The show was cut two songs short (State of Love and Trust & Severed Hand) due to curfew.
