Appling is straight up killing it, average back above .400, OBP above .500. Shoeless Joe isn't too far behind. Lollar on the other hand is a black hole. I have no one else to plug in there though. Carrying a second catcher seemed silly at the time. I feel like I'll have to put Minoso back in the lineup soon for his power (plus his OBP really isn't that bad if I put him later in the lineup), but I'm gonna ride Mostil while he's still hot. I wish Thomas weren't striking out so much, but his power numbers and OBP are solid. Belle is around what I was hoping for, and Collins and Weaver are holding their own. I really thought hitting was gonna be the downfall of my team, but it's turning out that fourth spot in the rotation is what's hurting me over and over again. I really, really, really wish I would've carried a fifth real starter, especially consider how many killer choices I had for one. Ugh.

Molitor gets on base 5 times in the two games, Borders hits a three-run shot in his first at bat, Moseby draws 4 walks in his first game out of the leadoff spot... I feel like a competent manager today.

Alomar goes 7 for 10 and is my second best offensive player of the day. Because John Olerud.

Yeah, I was wondering if maybe you finally hit on the right formula.

We all know the Royals are going to finish 48-12 and finish in first.

Since we doubled the length of the season, does that mean I can use a pitcher with 2 games off 4 times instead of twice?

Yeah, this actually seems like a fair change.
