matt cameron's songwriting
do posters generally enjoy songs with music and/or lyrics penned by matt cameron?
i'm getting the sense that there exists something less that outright disdain regarding these tracks, so i'm just taking RM's temperature on this issue... to help me decide whether to ever visit the pearl jam forum again.

Big fan of "Evacuation", "In the Moonlight" and (especially) "Cropduster". I genuinely think these are some of the greatest Matt-era Pearl Jam songs.
And, you know, probably some of the greatest PJ songs altogether.

Evacuation too, but those two are probably my favorite of his.

Matt's songs are at a higher level than the other band members are capable of achieving, except possibly Jeff.

Agreeing with Platy and Chud here. I don't really care for "Get Right" or "The Fixer," but otherwise I enjoy most of the songs that Matt has written or had a hand in putting together, with "Cropduster" topping the list.

"The Fixer" is only partially Matt (the good parts).

I like The Fixer, Get Right, Johnny Guitar (that's him, right), and cropduster.
I don't like evacuation and think in the moonlight is one of pearl jam's worst songs.
What else is on his list?

"In The Moonlight" is brilliant. Another example of Stip's poor taste.

I dig ITM a lot, but I still think Cropduster is the best music he's written for the band.

Cameron's songs are largely just sludge that everyone here loves because they do some musical tricks.
