What is even the point of a greatest hits package in a time when you can buy any combination of individual tracks you might possibly want?

Oh, I mean, The Turtles.

Its a good way to get the gist of a band I guess. Better than picking out random tracks anyway.

The 80s is kind of a wasteland of bands working hard on singles and then surrounding them with filler to complete an album.

Possibly, but then that led to the mentality you're quoting.

I like Moonlight Mile. I have no knowledge of those others as far as I know.

And yes, I'm aware that I'm not Kevin Davis. No matte how badly I wish I were.

I goddamn love "Moonlight Mile". It's one of maybe three or four Stones songs that I love with all my heart.

It's one of maybe 8 Stones songs that I listen to with any kind of regularity.

Back to Soundgarden.....

When I saw them last year in KC they did not play Black Hole Sun or Outshined (arguably their two biggest songs) and it was still an amazing show. I was excited as fuck they played Kickstand.

I agree that The Rolling Stones were mostly a singles band, except from 1968-1972 and from 1978-1981 when every song they made was brilliant. If you can't into something from those periods, then there is something wrong with you.

You know, the Stones are playing here next week for the first time since the mid 90s.

I've half-heartedly thought about trying to get a ticket, it's not as though they're going to play here again, but I probably won't.
