I was listening to Thin Lizzy today wondering why they are basically only known for a couple of songs when they have such a deep collection of quality tunes.

And not even remotely their best songs, either.

Philomena, Freedom Song, and Dancin in the Moonlight have been my bus ride home songs every day since last Monday.

Secret Treaties is awesome. The other three, not so much.

Their first 3 albums are great, as well as their unreleased first album for Elektra. Their live albums are good too.

Fire of Unknown Origin is like a freshly spray painted dungeons and dragons-inspired mural on the side of a shitty van in the land of Tron.

I thoroughly enjoy it, without apology.

Depending on how work goes, I may begin a Blue Oyster Cult thread tomorrow that will inevitably become one of those "why does that guy keep updating that thread that nobody cares about" moments for the rest of the board.

I disagree about her pop music, I think most of her singles are very boring, soulless and unoriginal (though parts of "Wrecking Ball" are alright).

I do think she's an underrated singer, and can deliver very solid performances when she really wants to, particularly in the country or folk genres. When she's not doing the nasally pop thing, she can be quite soulful.
