wasn't feeling the corned beef today, so italian peppers are cooking away in the crock pot instead. this is the best sauce to use:

trying a crock pot lasagna today...i'm excited.

I would be MORE excited if we put meat in it...but my girlfriend isn't the biggest fan of meat.

I was always adding a small amount of water to the crock pot. Don't. After about an hour of cooking on low there will be enough juices from the roast. Mine came out way more tender yesterday than in times past.

yeah, i've never added water; plenty of juice from the fat on the shoulder. actually, i trim and remove about half the fat an hour or two in because, otherwise, it's too greasy for my tastes.
