Incredibly underrated baseball movie.
I think Field of Dreams coming out like a year later and also relating to the 1919 White Sox had a lot to do with Eight Men Out being kinda forgotten.

Indeed. I love FoD but like Bull Durham and Eight Men Out better. As someone who has gone to Dyersville though it's really incredible.

Field of Dreams would be my #1, with The Sandlot right behind it. James Earl Jones' speech in Field of Dreams is one of the best things ever.

Oh yeah that speech gives me all the feels. Being in the age bracket when Sandlot was released I loved it and still do. Saw it a few times in the theaters.

Bull Durham is my fave.

I'm surprised how often Ty Cobb has been caught stealing.

Im surprised how Justin Verlander has a WHIP under .9 and an ERA over 5. How in the bloody hell is that even possible.

Devo really came through huge in his first opportunity to take over the CF spot.

Now the big question is whether Bautista hangs onto his spot or if Bell gets a couple games in left.

Nice to see Devo get a shout out during game 1 of the Series when HR was talking about Cain. Man Devo was great in center.

That's probably hurting his ERA.

This is totally the catch that comes to mind. My best friend (Braves fan) still brings this catch up. So close to a triple play. Oh prime time haha.

What is even more impressive maybe is Juan Guzman and Kelly Gruber's hair.

He's allowed 26 baserunners. 18 have scored.

Even though he has been abysmal in pinch hitting duties, I'm thinking about giving Dick Allen some starts. Thomas has been pretty bad.

I guess that qualifies as close, right? I guess the ump... uh... didn't have the right angle?
