One day when it's off the front page and no one is paying attention you should just lock it.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I was being facetious. I haven't seen it in years. But I liked Contact. The end was a cop out. But I remember liking the rest of it.

A cop-out? I always fel the movie should have just abruptly ended with her vanishing into the machine. Leave it at that. Nothing you say after that moment is going to be anything but silly.durdencommatyler wrote:I haven't seen it in years. But I liked Contact. The end was a cop out. Forget cop-out. If anything, they said too much.
Anyway, I never thought that the point of that movie was "FINALLY WE REVEAL THE TRUTH OF ALL EXISTENCE." And it wasn't terrible.

I completely agree. I suppose cop out is the wrong term. I was trying to say what you said. It should have ended with her vanishing.McParadigm wrote:A cop-out? Re: Interstellar (Nolan)
i would have liked for a character to stick his leg through the stargate and just hold it there for a while to see what happens

I would have preferred James Spader's character to have been a pervert.

Re: Interstellar (Nolan)
First review ive seen..
warning..this is almost a blow by blow account of the film so beware
If you go to see Christopher Nolan's Interstellar Movie don't expect some hybrid of Gravity and Inception.
