How long until they decide to cover an entire album?

If it's Quadrophenia, I might go.

But it won't be.

That would almost be next on my list, at 50% of my shows.

Even Flow - 22/22
DTE - 20/22
Alive - 19/22
Corduroy - 19/22
Better Man - 18/22
Given to Fly - 16/22
Daughter - 14/22
Black - 13/22
Jeremy - 13/22

Yellow Ledbetter - 12/22
Elderly Woman - 11/22
Porch - 10/22
Rearviewmirror - 10/22
Go - 10/22

To stip's earlier point, though, the list of tunes above sure still gets me going when I hear them, there's not even one on that list that I complain about when i hear it played live.

Oh yeah. Now that you mention it, I own their Remain in Light concert. It wasn't awful...even kind of good for repeat listens...but it didn't make me want more of whatever it is they have to offer.

Because it's not very good. Whereas Avocado is kinda good, just poorly represented on the album.

Backspacer is basically 35 minutes of forgettable Pearl Jam. There's not a single moment on the album that is truly memorable.

Remembering the lyric well enough to post it kinda undermines your point, no?

given how poorly my "matt cameron's songwriting" thread went, i'm not sure i want to express my thoughts about the relative qualities of backspacer and the avocado album

OK.

I did.

Still don't think I'd call it a good song. However, the line "hoping that when she came she'd be coming just for me - ah yeah!" certainly is interesting, questionably memorable, but definitely interesting.

To be fair, the full line is "until the lightning strike sets you free, eehhheehaeeehaeee"
