Beast and Summation - true
but I believe Ocean Fronts is a DOTU-era song, because the lyrics appeared on their A&M site in like 1996, together with Cleaning My Gun (which finally turned up on Chris' Songbook)

I was wondering about that too... your explanation is the best so far :D

matt reeder wrote:The price of the CD box set is outrageous. I mean, really? $60 for 3 CDs? I've paid less than that for bootleg box sets. I bought the Yo La Tengo 3-disc box set for like $18.

I'll wait until I see this at my local record store.
That is insane. The forthcoming Wilco box is 4 discs and only $40. Hopefully it comes down a bit before Christmas.

Jason's VOIVOD shirt is pretty cool... but the video is already gone

UPD: it works for other people so it's probably just region-limited

UPD2: it's not region-limited after all... just a buggy stream that refuses to work for many people, including me. So if you're also having issues with the stream, click here.

I feel like it might be tough for the studio version to live up to expectations, but I'm hoping.

Was thinking the same, so I'm hoping (as someone noted earlier in the thread) that the version on Echos was recorded in the studio back in 95-ish while they were making DOTUS. What we get will hopefully just be a final mastered version (one can hope).

If folks haven't seen this, here's a largely solo electric Head Down from the London 94 show

Request for Reeder: if you have time and it's at all worthwhile, could you post the 10/29/90 show at the Central Tavern with the jazz version of Big Dumb Sex? Thx man.

Even I don't have it. You know that would have made Z-Sides if I did!

haha ok. so when i'm looking through the live guide and it says uncirculated recording but you have specific info on it like the 10/29/90 show, basically some guy has the recording, is willing to tell you the setlist and even what the songs sounded like that night, but not share it? man, you're dealing with some hoarders huh

It has held up well, Cornell's longevity is amazing.

agree it's held up well. taree, black saturday, bones of birds, rowing, a thousand days before...hope the setlists are a little more varied in australia/nz again assuming matt is back behind the kit. those '13 shows were so good.
