Which one?
I believe he is referring to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
I genuinely thought he was talking about How I Met Your Mother. And I was thinking, they didn't reference that show in the first Avengers movie, why would they do it in this one? Then I thought, and fuck you Burt, How I Met Your Mother wasn't shitty!
It was pretty shitty.
You're pretty shitty!

Fucking ridiculous levels of shitty. One of the shittiest of shitty TV.

Not quite as shitty as A.G.E.N.T.S. of Shield.

Agents of Shield is better than How I Met Your Mother.

That is not in anyway an endorsement of Agents of Shield.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I dunno

I think in terms of scope and execution, SHIELD aims higher and fails harder.

God I hate How I Met Your Mother though.

Is it a requisite there to like ridiculously bland, characterless comedy?

But you can probably balance out all that with your gorgeous glasses. Glasses are way more important.

Speaking of, the first Avengers film came out right during a work trip to NYC. The city was plastered with posters, merchandise everywhere. I was freaking out because this was my first time back in the city after a long-ass absence. After I finished my work, I connected with some friends and made it into a little mini-vacation. Man, it was a great trip. I was staying at a hotel literally next to Gran Central station, which is right where that big final battle takes place. Seeing that on the big screen was kind of exciting, considering I was staying right there.

That first movie will forever be tied to that trip, in my mind. I probably like it better than I should because of that. Anyway, this is a pointless story.

I liked that story.

Cloverfield was actually a cooler movie too because I saw it living in NYC. Watch that movie on a huge screen, then crawl out into a sparkling NYC summer night and tell me you're not a little bit freaked out. Look up at the buildings, get onto a subway train and tell me you're not at least uneasy. It was awesome.
