I don't mind this because it's short years, but 9mil is a lot to pay for a 39 year old reliever that had a bad 2nd half. I hope they have contingency plans in order if he shits the bed.

I would have rather the series end with that scenario as opposed to having a runner stranded on third and the hitter fouling out to the third baseman. I'd always remember this series for that bone-headed play. And it would be awesome.

Exactly, it instantly becomes one of the most memorable plays in baseball history, no matter if he scores, is closely out, or out by a mile.

I think the players goal is to actually try and win the baseball game. Ned Yosts goal is still up for discussion on any given day however.
Yeah if Gordon goes and he is out by 20 feet that makes him one of the biggest goats in World Series history. Maybe they should have hit better and not been in that situation? A lot is being made of this. Bottom line the Giants had the better team 1-25.
