Which are...what exactly? I don't mean to seem hostile, i'm just curious what you'd have him do that wouldn't just make him sound further like an out-of-depth caricature.

I said confront, not mimic. I don't feel that every voice can inherently translate into other genres. Ed has many skills, but I'm not sure that one of them is being able to maintain his personality while grappling with something closer to a genre lift. With Costello, you gave a good example before of an artist who can.

Before we go any further, I propose we make a separate thread in which we determine the popularity and unpopularity of each aspect of Pearl Jam's career. This thread should be locked until the other thread runs it's course.
