Only Luke Appling, Shoeless Joe, Albert Belle, & Buck Weaver are guaranteed to return as starters for the 2015 squad. Ed Cicotte is the only pitcher guaranteed a spot in the rotation, and Dennis Lamp is the only reliever coming back for sure.

:shake:

Doc White, Chris Sale, Billy Pierce, Wilbur Wood, Ted Lyons, Frank Lange, Goose Gossage, Joe Horlen, Thornton Lee, Tommy John, LaMarr Hoyt, Jack McDowell, Bobby Thigpen...start getting those arms ready.

Those deadball era guys are pretty hit and miss. Luque Has been good, but guys like Mullane and Mullin have been awful for me.

Either I've been adding in HRs incorrectly or the wind must be blowing out at Wrigley every game.

I would have a few bullpen changes and a new fourth starter for next year, but not much more. Maybe a couple different bench pieces, but it's not like 37 years of history gives me a ton of depth to work with.

Yeah. Cicotte turned out to be a stud for me in the long run (9-4, 2.99), but Walsh and Smith were disappointing. I guess Walsh and Smith really weren't as bad as they seem. I feel like an ERA of 4.00 is the equivalent to an ERA of 3.00 when facing these line ups, so Smith & Walsh being at 4.57 & 4.58 isn't truly awful. I think next time I'm gonna carry three dead ball era guys (Cicotte with maybe Doc White and Walsh from the year he had a 1.27 ERA instead of the 40 win year) and three live ball era guys (probably Sale, Pierce, & Wood) to balance things off. I mean, I expected my offense to be one of the most anemic ones in the league, but I really thought my staff would be up there with the best of the best.

Those 1976 White Sox were one of the absolute worst teams in their history (9th worst out of 114, to be exact). Goose Gossage was their ace at 9-17 with a 3.94 ERA and Jorge Orta led the team in batting average (.274), home runs (14), and RBI (72). So, so very terrible.

Haha. No, that sounds about right. I feel like for every Cubs home game the list of guys who went yard is like seven players long.

Im not really doing them. That was just to go through some (12 games until i got bored) to see if anyone had anything crazy going on. Not really anymore than any other team.

A pair of 6-5 wins and we're still in it! Also, in the 13th inning of game 58... because obviously:
D.White crushes a 2-run homer to LF.
Go White Sox!
