Yeah, that way when you get swept by the Jays to end the season you still have a good shot at hanging onto that first place finish.

So for the playoffs: Pedro, Clemens, Young, Grove?

Knocking the Jays out of the playoffs is going to be very satisfying.

Indeed, I hope Dirk Hayhurst and Jack Morris are calling these games.

:) I can't say I blame you. I would feel the same way if the situations were reversed.

To be fair, we probably have no business being in this spot. We were 11-19 at the All-Star and have gone 19-9 since. I don't like my chances since I'm going up against Boston, but at least I have Clemens and Stieb going.

ugh, talk about realistic, the Tigers bullpen just gave up 10 runs in less than 3 innings to lose game 2 today.

Looks like they'll be up against Ed Walsh (5-8, 4.57) and Jim Scott (3-3, 8.12). Avoiding Eddie Cicotte could pay off for you guys (though if you had already clinched your spot, I was ready to give shitshow Red Faber the last start at Comiskey for the year).

I'm thinking I'll run with this lineup for the final two games...

Appling
Weaver
Jackson
Belle
Allen
Simmons
Fox
Lollar

Do your thing, Al Simmons.

I just set my lineup against RHP., and even simmed a couple to make sure my defense wasnt going to kill me (it might).

on the off chance that I win game 1 and Phil loses game 1, that should clinch the last spot for me. Can I submit a lineup change for game 2? If its not clinched just roll with the lineup already in there .

if so, game 2 would be
1. CF- Granderson
2. 2B- Whitaker
3. SS- Trammell
4. 1B- Cash
5. LF- Greenberg
6. 3B- Guillen
7- RF- Colavito
8- C- Freehan
9- P- Mullin
