Damn. Tip O'Neill really might be a better MOP candidate than Hornsby.

Also, Cleveland Shoeless Joe looks primed to win the batting title...

The quarterfinals will be Cardinals vs. Yankees and the loser of Indians-Royals vs. Tigers. The team listed first has home field advantage.

The play-in game will take place in Cleveland, as they split the head-to-head games 2-2, but the Indians swept the highest seeded team (the Red Sox). The winner is the second seed and receives a bye into the semifinals alongside the Red Sox. Rotations are subject to the rules of the regular season in terms of rest.

The Red Sox will face the lowest seeded team to advance to the semifinals, and the winner of Indians-Royals will face the higher seeded advancing team.

If Jorge and #BRL both pick their starters today, we can run the play-in game tonight instead of tomorrow.

Both of them still have short rest uses available from the regular season, so the only pitchers who are off-limits to start the game are Perry, Feller, Saberhagen, and Greinke. No matter who starts in the play-in games, all staffs are considered fully rested for game one of the quarterfinals.

I hate to pick against the Yankees, but I think the Cards are still the team to beat. Provided of course, the manager doesn't get in the way... 8-)

I'll post my final stats shortly and will IM the spreadsheet to Phil. We'll have to vote on the MOP candidates sometime.

Errors could be the death of the Cards. Playing guys out of position to get their bats in the lineup has been the cause of quite a few unearned runs.

Oxymoron. They are God's favorite team. Well at least in his top 5.

I want to start Gregg for the play-in game.

Also, I can't believe Asher cost me the first-round bye with that joke of a lineup.
