I'd like to see if Prince can get healthy. You can have Kinsler and his bad attitude. I'd make that deal 10 times out of 10.

Wanna know a secret?

Prince's attitude is worse. Look up his comments after basically single handedly getting us eliminated from the ALCS against Boston. Its why we dealt him. Ill take bad attitude cares over "dont give a fuck" any day.

You're right.

You know Skitch, we wanted the Panda. We were excited about the Panda, then you come in here with your logic and now we are left with Chase Headley or another year of Brock Holt/Will Middlebrooks.

Is that really a secret? Prince was dealing with a divorce and his wife "allegedly" banging a fellow Tiger. Lets not act like Prince was garbage in Detroit. A 6.7 combined WAR in his two years there. Again, a move I'd make. I was very happy to see Kinsler go.

Single handedly getting us eliminated? Napoli, Koji Uehara and Papi had nothing to do with that?

Prince was an absolute slug in that ALCS. The indifferent malaise he played with was of note throughout the series.

I agree he half assed it. That was obvious. I was arguing that wasn't the only reason the Tigers lost. That is just asinine.

It was certainly a key factor. Behind their bullpen, I would put lack of production from him right at the top of the list.

Oh, i figured it was a secret because you brought up Kinslers bad attitude like it was a one way street.

Im overstating Single Handed, but if Prince had been even average we would have won that series- and he's a mess defensively. I bet Profar is going to love having a 5'10" First Baseman. And a 6.7 WAR over 2 Prime age seasons for a guy making 23 million per is very very bad.

Factor sure. These athletes need a chance of scenery sometimes, man. I'm not condoning not playing hard. That's a shitty situation.

I just feel like Holt can't be real, and the moment they finally hand him a job is when the clock strikes midnight.

Honest opinion (not fan base trolling here). I think 2013 was luck, smoke, mirrors, magic, and dare I say, grit. I to this day have no idea how that Boston Red Sox team won the division, much less the World Series so easily. I think you're a couple 2-3 years away and should go low key mid level signings (the same way you did with victorino and napoli) and go from there. Your GM is smart enough to make the moves required, Peavy not withstanding.

Personnel wise....Considering we had no protection for Beltre whatsoever it was a no brainer to make that trade.

Most athletes are douches lets be honest. I'm sure Prince can be difficult. Watching Kinsler play for 8 years I was not shedding tears to see him go. Again, new place seemed to invigorate Kinsler. Between the lines when he wants to be he is solid as fuck.

Well Prince was really quite good in 2012. He doesn't make 23 mill per year as a Ranger with you guys picking up like 30 million of that salary but I get what you are saying.
