He would be an upgrade (coming to a hitters park) over old Lance Berkman or Mitch Moreland.

6 DH's had enough at bats to be considered "qualified" in 2014. All 6 had a higher OPS than Pablo Sandoval except Billy Butler. He was also the only one with fewer HR (9). The next lowest? Adam Dunn with 22. Everyone else had more than 30.

Dropping the Plate Appearances down to 250, 13 guys are listed. Pablo Sandoval would be be tied for 9th with CJ Cron in OPS. In other words, Pablo Sandoval has negative value as a DH.

Last year. In a hitters park. IF he came to Texas it would not shock me to see him hit 25 homers. Also opens the door for if we are out of the race in July ( decent possibility) we can trade Beltre if he's doing well (no reason to think he won't be) and Pablo moves right into 3rd.

All of this being said I'd love to get both a starter and a bat (someone like Morse or Torii Hunter) over Pablo but I wouldn't be upset at all about signing Pablo. Would not go over the amount I stated either (4/$66 with a club option for a 5th w/ low buyout).
