I watched Guardians of the Galaxy...
it made a great effort at including anyone that had no idea of the story, initially, then it got really self involved with backstory and lost up itself a bit...but it looked great and was enjoyable overall.

Re: What movies are you watching?
recent viewings:
Unbreakable - can't believe I hadn't seen this before. Never wanted to after hearing all the negativity towards it - mostly b/c it came on the heels of Sixth Sense. I'm not sure if I would've liked it then either. I actually really liked this one.
Inside Llewyn Davis - decent, kind of just a snapshot of the times. Nice musical performances all around too.
Edge of Tomorrow - I had zero expectations for this movie. I really don't care for Hollywood action movies anymore. Yet, this was a real pleasant surprise. I'm actually amazed at how much I enjoyed this one.
on deck:
A Most Wanted Man

I can't remember the full title but its on Netflix and its really good. As a fellow misanthrope, I was intrigued by their lifestyle.

It's amazing those effects actually made it to theaters. Like, Stephen Sommers saw that and thought, "Yep, looks good!"BurtReynolds wrote:LoathedVermin72 wrote:The Scorpion King and DeepStar Six. Both were entertaining schlock.

None taken. I'm realizing I really love movies that have a lot of ambiguity. Nothing is worse than knowing exactly what's going to happen.Dev wrote:remember hating this, borgman was not much better. (no offence)Orpheus wrote:Holy Motors. Man, what a weird movie.
