I loved the scene with Cersei hating on Margery at the dinner table.Soma. wrote:Hear that. They did a fine job of cramming in as much as possible, though. No "Lost" style cock-teasing. Great ep.zeb wrote:That first ep was the quickest hour of my life.

I forgot, but are we not putting spoiler tags for book references? Lots of them on the previous page.

Re: HBO: Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire)
personally, i haven't read the books and would prefer to see nothing at all about them, but if they are going to be discussed then i feel they should be in spoilers no matter what. intodeep's post on the last page is an example- nothing given away (except a future character name) but nothing i as a non-book reader really wanted to know. i knowingly come into this thread facing a risk of being spoiled or at least having book discussion giving some things away, but i'd definitely prefer not to have worry about that.psychobain wrote:for future events, DEFINITELY

Agreed. Also, for those of us that plan on reading the books, I feel the courteous thing to do when discussing the books (even something as seemingly innocuous as minor changes between the books and the series) is to spoiler those mentions.

duly noted. I was just under the impression that I wasn't spoiling anything in the show, so it was ok.Chris_H_2 wrote:Agreed. On the old site, there was a separate thread for book discussions....
Maybe someone should make one.

I won't be reading the books until the show finishes, which I'm guessing is not going to be for at least another five years. I'm unlikely to remember anything said anywhere on RM in five years time, so as long as you're not spoiling upcoming plot points in the television show I say go for your life.

How about we just refrain from mentioning the books in unspoilered posts?zeb wrote:I won't be reading the books until the show finishes, which I'm guessing is not going to be for at least another five years. It's all good. Glad we could settle this like gentlemen instead of having people threatening to spoil the show.

i agree with everybody: (1) i was stunned how fast the episode went (2) i come to this thread for the show not the books (3) thanks for using spoilers for those that are discussing the books (4) Natalie Dormer is hot-fire
