Wtf was that ending??
Was just getting really good and it's over. Like that?

It deserved a much better and fleshed out conclusion.

Oh come on - what didn't you like about prisoners?
Among other things, its bashing of "ungodly" people. And, basically, I think it's a really shallow movie with a lot of pseudo-deep moral probing that really has nothing to do with its core momentum.

Looks nice, though.

I don't see how Nightcrawler's conclusion could have been more appropriate or fleshed out. God that movie is good.

I didn't pick up any type of bashing of 'ungodly' people in it. Prisoners was a top movie as far I'm concerned

So it's a toss between Nightcrawler and Most wanted man for the worst ending of the year.

Nightcrawlers feels like a focus group ending..tacked on in post production..Doubt that's how the writer/director wanted it to end at all.

I would argue that Prisoners had a subtly pro-christian message if anything.

I don't know what you're basing that on. It was totally in line with the movie's themes.

It is. But only on the vastly outdated physical DVD Netflix.

I didn't really care for it either, outside of Jake and Paul's performances.

I thought it was really uncomfortable to watch, but I quite like when a movie can do that

to answer,
Spoiler: show
I guess I wanted to see him pay for what he'd done, not just for him being a sociopath, but it was made completely unrealistic that he'd interefered with crime scenes and just when it looked like he was going to be brought to book for it by the Detective, he walks..Him expanding his company makes total sense but it was too quick and disjointed. It felt like this film was a lot longer or had more in it but was cut back. I agree, it is realistic that scummy people like him never are made to answer, and that's fitting, but the ending here felt weirdly patched together and I have trouble believing it was meant to be like that.
