It certainly helps keep me sane. At least rinsing the shit is essential. My roommates do stuff like letting pancake batter harden into an indestructible crust and it is the worst.
Yeah, my roommate does that too.

post it

I'm about to poach a salmon
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup shredded Fontina cheese
1 tablespoon grappa
Salt
In a small saucepan, bring the cream to a simmer over low heat. Stir in the butter until melted, then whisk in the Parmesan until smooth. Add the Fontina and cook, whisking, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat, stir in the grappa and season the sauce lightly with salt. Serve at once.

I'm done with frozen pizza.

Dough = $1.89
Can of peeled tomatoes = $2.72
Cheese = $4.25

Total = $8.86

Tastes a hundred times better, its fun to make, and more food for your money.
