I hear ya. Street Spirit is absolute top tier RH, and Fake Plastic Trees, Just and My Iron Lung are obviously great songs, but I think most of the rest is overrated (especially 'The Bends' the song).

In Rainbows appears to be underrated by a lot of casual fans...
I'm a huge fan of The Bends. All of it. But I can see how others would disagree, and that is what makes Radiohead such an amazing band. Likewise, In Rainbows is a phenomenal album, on par with anything they've ever done.

The best part of The Bends? The b-sides:

India Rubber
How Can You Be Sure?
Maquiladora
Talk Show Host
Bishops Robes
Killer Cars
Molasses
Banana Co.

Word. Those B-Sides are just sick. Just an amazing outpouring of songs during those sessions. Unreal.

The praise for The Bends comes from Planet Telex, The Bends, High & Dry, Fake Plastic Trees, Nice Dream, Just, Bulletproof, Sulk, and Street Spirit. Killer songs all throughout on a record that was a huge step forward leading up to OK and Kid A.
I might be able to get to an E-bow.

It won't be me. In Rainbows is my favourite Radiohead album.

It's Radiohead at their most soulful, and one of the least self-consciously "difficult" albums they've done. Aside from maybe "Bodysnatchers", it's a laid-back, groovy, jazzy thing. Lovely.

I think it's the perfect mix of guitar-based Radiohead and bleep-bloopy Radiohead.

I think what really makes this post special is that you posted the length of each song except the last.

Agreed. I love guitar-based and bleepy-bloopy-based Radiohead equally, and IR bridges the two perfectly. I didn't realize IR wasn't in everyone's top quarter of favorite RH albums

IR is great, but not their best. Amnesiac is their best, no matter what Stip says.
