Re: NHL Thread
oh my god I hate the Toronto sports media. The hockey media specifically. If I hear one more thing about how the Leafs players didn't salute the fans, I'm going to...I don't know...write an angry tweet or something. I'm starting to think the media are intentionally trying to make it a living hell being a hockey player in Toronto.

Re: NHL Thread
Yeah, it's so insane. I can't blame the players at all, and it really means nothing. Toronto fans are pretty stupid, too... if it was an intentional snub, it was well deserved.
Plus, I like the idea that they don't salute after every game because they haven't won anything.

No gifs of Lucic throwing his gloves like a little baby?
Also, that shootout was awesome.

Re: NHL Thread
I'm a Bruins fan but Lucic has had that coming. In his defence, I think Lucic noticed it was in the final two minutes of OT and was worried about picking up a misconduct. If you notice Lucic still has his gloves on and was not ready to fight when he got drilled. That's why Julien was ticked that they gave Lucic the misconduct because Lucic never dropped his gloves and engaged in the fight.southp wrote:God this feels good...

I love how emphatic Julien is while speaking; it makes reading lips so much easier.

And to be fair, I think Lucic's misconduct may have been for all the shit that he pulled after he got knocked down.

I agree with that assessment but it's a joke and bush league to only give Proust a 2 minute minor for roughing. I'd love to have heard the refs trying to justify how what Proust did was not fighting.Simple Torture wrote:And to be fair, I think Lucic's misconduct may have been for all the shit that he pulled after he got knocked down.

OT was over, it didn't really matter what they gave out for penalties. And generally, they don't call fighting majors if there's only one punch.surfndestroy wrote:I agree with that assessment but it's a joke and bush league to only give Proust a 2 minute minor for roughing. Evgeni Malkin on Marc-Andre Fleury’s 300th career win: “My whole memories, I am score every practice, 10 goals. Every shootout, I score on him. I don’t know how he win 300. It surprises me.”
