I would be surprised if it goes that high. My guess would be somewhere around $25 million.cutuphalfdead wrote:My brother just bet me $40 that Lester's AAV will be above $27.5MM.

You and everyone else in the world. My brother is convinced he gets closer to 30 mil a year. That's what prompted me to offer an over/under bet of 27.5.philpritchard wrote:I would be surprised if it goes that high. its insane. but, I guess if you're paying what you're paying those other guys, Lester's going to command this...cutuphalfdead wrote:You and everyone else in the world. If this kid is right again it looks like Lester's getting less than 25MM a year.EJ wrote:its insane. but, I guess if you're paying what you're paying those other guys, Lester's going to command this...cutuphalfdead wrote:You and everyone else in the world. How does a 14-year-old break big moves like this? It really makes me feel like I've wasted my life.cutuphalfdead wrote:If this kid is right again it looks like Lester's getting less than 25MM a year.EJ wrote:its insane. but, I guess if you're paying what you're paying those other guys, Lester's going to command this...cutuphalfdead wrote:You and everyone else in the world. I don't know what WEEI is saying but The Sports Hub is pretty realistic about it.EJ wrote:Does most of Boston sports radio consider Sandoval to be a Papi replacement in a couple years?

Well, I get how it happens, it's just... there's no way I would have had that kind of initiative at that age.cutuphalfdead wrote:Same was as anyone else: acquire connections, work the phones.philpritchard wrote:How does a 14-year-old break big moves like this? On the plus side, you're a shoo-in for the world series in 2 years. The hard part is going to be convincing the Dodgers to take Hanleys contract. Toronto could fall for it maybe?

I'd have to see what the details of the vesting option are. 4/88 isn't bad for Hanley, I expected him to do better than that.@SkitchP wrote:haha. Apparently the Hanley deal is 4/88 with a 5th year vesting for 22 more. So thats 5/110. That seems a bit high.

Hey considering what Stanton got paid it's a bargain, and the whole facial reconstruction thing doesn't apply
