If so, then it's not an opinion. Dan Bailey is the most accurate kicker in nfl history.

Talk to me after he's done it for more than four years and in multiple clutch situations in the playoffs.

Seriously

no thanks... 4 years is enough of a body of evidence for a kicker, and this was only part of my point, anyway. I was talking about the current offense as a whole. They're not garbage without Romo, and it's ridiculous to say otherwise. The defense, on the other hand, is seriously overachieving this year, and I think the pass defense will ultimately be responsible for this year's embarrassing demise.

The Cowboys are a cursed team.

Sorry, thip, but 4 years is nothing for a kicker in the NFL. Age is a bitch. Besides, he's been kicking in a dome for a majority of his games.

Mike Vanderjagt was once the most accurate kicker in NFL history, and we all know how that turned out.

I'm not concerned with Vanderjagt... the Cowboys had him when he began to suck. I'm also not concerned with what Dan Bailey's legacy will be... All I know is that he is peaking right now, and is currently part of a very good offense (possibly the best they've had since the mid-90's)... that Mecca is calling garbage.

I didn't intend on becoming a lifelong Dan Bailey advocate with my point... kickers come and go. I'm just glad the Cowboys have him during the 'sweet spot.'

(the dome argument is bs, because he plays the road games, too)

Ravens looked good last night. I watched most of that game. They were pretty fun to watch.

It will be interesting to see how long the Cowboys can keep that offense together. They're in perennial cap trouble, meaning Dez still hasn't been extended. He'll be franchised if all else fails, and if that happens then Murray is likely going to walk in FA. Plus, Romo and Witten aren't exactly spring chickens. Their O-line should be very good for a long time though, and you can go a long way with a very good O-line.

They'll probably max out Dez by re-structuring the Witten and Romo contracts... they'll definitely franchise DeMarco, and continue to run him into the ground while they have him. Jerry really does need to find someone to eventually replace Romo, though. Weedin is a waste of roster space. I'm very happy that he didn't draft Manziel, but I don't think Romo has much more of a window (for health reasons more than anything else).

If Bailey misses a game winning FG on Thursday I expect you talk plenty about this subject.

ill put that "best kicker in history" quote in my sig. but if anyone is gonna shit the bed on the cowboys, i think we all know who it will be.

i think the story of the game will be the eagles pass rush against the cowboys o line. the birds pass rush has been anywhere from awesome to nonexistent this season, but usually more on the awesome side. should be an interesting battle.

i kinda expected the eagles and cowboys to split this season, and i'm going to the game in philly, so i'd much rather they win here. i'm also going to the game with my buddy who's a cowboys fan, so if i dont post after that game, i may have gotten caught in the crossfire.

Born/grew up in Dallas, so yeah. The past 18 years haven't been very rewarding, so I'm happy to see it coming together a bit... although I'm reluctant to take the team (or the sport) too seriously anymore.

They ARE still Tony Romo and the Heartbreakers

I live 1,000 miles away now, and don't care NEARLY as much as I once did. I watch now for amusement, as it's too painful to be a devoted fan of any sports team (unless you're from Boston, I guess).
