Can we just all cut the shit and finally admit Rodgers is most likely the best QB ever? Blah blah Brady Manning counting stats clutch blah blah. He basically owns all the efficiency records and is unlikely to lose them. There's just no one else to me.

Re: The Green Bay Packers
He really is unlike anyone else ever. His "bad" year as a starter was his very first one, 2008, when he posted a QB rating of 93.8. That'd be a career year for 99% of quarterbacks.

Re: The Green Bay Packers
So apparently as of September 25th, 2011, the Packers have the largest cumulative margin of victory in NFL history, taking that title away from the Bears (who held it for virtually the entirety of NFL history up to that point). Appropriately enough, they moved into first by beating the Bears at Soldier Field.

There's an interactive version of the chart in the article, which is pretty cool. Helps put into perspective the ups and downs each franchise has experienced.

Very cool graph, but I'm sure Steelers fans will agree with me that we should start that graph at the merger.
They still haven't passed the Browns in this metric, and similar to Packers/Bears the Broncos finally passed the Raiders at what looks like last year.

Yeah, no kidding. I also love how people are just now noticing Nelson is really good. He's been torching people for long TDs for the last 4-5 years. He caught their first TD in their SB win (on a 30+ yard go route no less), he's just white and didn't get as many targets as Jennings/Finley/Jones. Sometimes I wonder if people in the media even watch the fucking game they cover.

He probably singlehandedly made Josh Freeman a first round QB when they were at K-State.Orpheus wrote:Yeah, no kidding. I also love how people are just now noticing Nelson is really good. Re: The Green Bay Packers
I sat through a miserable UT game in a torrential downpour where he killed us. And I believe this was when Texas still had Thomas and a few other future NFL guys in their secondary.Green Habit wrote:He probably singlehandedly made Josh Freeman a first round QB when they were at K-State.Orpheus wrote:Yeah, no kidding. Is there any chance the GB v NE game gets moved to Sunday night? I'll be flying back from LA and'll miss all the afternoon action.

No, Fox protected GB-NE (and GB-PHI) from flex scheduling.

Couple points on this:spike wrote:Orpheus wrote:Can we just all cut the shit and finally admit Rodgers is most likely the best QB ever? Blah blah Brady Manning counting stats clutch blah blah. He basically owns all the efficiency records and is unlikely to lose them. There's just no one else to me.
* It's a bit early to put Rodgers ahead of Montana, Brady, Manning, but let's see where his career nets out, as I agree, I think it's possible that he lands on top of this whole thing in the end. He turns only 31 in a few days, so there's plenty of time for him to match in terms of stats, winning, etc.
* As a Pats fan devastated by the loss to Green Bay in the '96 SB, I'd love to see them get another crack at these guys in Feb. Still, NE's recent track record for correcting losses in SBs is not very good and a Brady loss to Rodgers in a SB would help support your argument.
