New format this year as decided by the actual draft discussion thread.
Anybody can pick for any team. Not sure how much time we want to wait between picks (12 hrs? 8 hrs?), but no one poster can pick twice in a row (unless it's the same team and there's been a trade). Speaking of which, any trades should just be posted and we'll give the proposal half the "clock" time to be considered and commented on.
Obviously these are just my ideas, so nothing's final until we get a consensus.
That said, I find this a fun exercise and a good way to hear what RMers think of prospects, so we should probably get started ASAP to possibly get a few rounds in.
The first pick is easy. KC is going to go with the OL.
Lets move on to the Jags. What do they need besides a Tebow? I could see the Jags taking a Geno Smith or one of the other QBs, but they won't have to take him at the 2 spot in order to do it. Gabbert to me seems like a bust at this point. I think with the Jags sucking so hard everywhere they will want to trade down....
works for me. w/ verb_to_trust & spike supporting the pick, it becomes official.
Next up, Actionville.
verb pretty well covered the reason's they need a QB, but none of the guys this year are worth trading up to get (at this point). I'm thinking if another team really wants one of the other top prospects (Floyd, Lotulelei, Mingo, Jordan, or Fisher) then that could conceivably happen, with the Jags dropping back, adding more picks and grabbing one of the QBs later.
Trading back will be very hard to do though, especially considering there is no Luck/Griffin III pair at the top of the boards this year. So, if the Jags are stuck picking at 2 the question becomes who do they take? Sharrif Floyd from Florida and Dion Jordan from Oregon seem to be the safe picks if they end up stuck there.

right, and I guess my point was that I don't think any of the guys I listed are worth what teams would have to pay in picks to trade up. So, of the two players you're thinking, I vote Sharrif Floyd to the Jags.
I'd go DE over DT--they did sign Roy Miller and Sen'Derrick Marks in free agency. Jordan's a good choice--I also like Bjorn Werner if you want a more traditional 4-3 DE.

i didn't know they signed both miller & marks. i change my vote to jordan.
I go with this pick for OAK. So that's 2 votes for Sharrif Floyd and 1 vote for Star Lotulelei.
Unless folks give Floyd a 3rd vote, I'll be leaving this pick open until tomorrow morning when I get up (i.e. i'm not moving to the next pick at 2AM).
Im gonna say Floyd as well, i think they go DT and though he was cleared, i think Star will drop a decent bit, and Oakland will make the smart pick and go with the Sharrif
If Al Davis were still alive, I bet that pick would have been Dee Milliner or Tavon Austin. I went ahead and locked Floyd in. I'm not sure what the Eagles need--they hit FA pretty well. I'd lean towards a tackle (Lane Johnson's on the top of my list), but I could be convinced otherwise.

I just have a feeling that even with all the QBs they currently have, Kelly is gonna take Geno Smith if he is there
