whats the story with the crashed ship they answer the SOS from..where was it going?
That's not really a plot hole; it's just something that went unanswered.
not explaining your main plot device is a bit of a big hole, in fairness..crashed ship has been infected by some unknown contagion..you'd think thered be at least some discussion about those whose ship it was..
Nah, that's ambiguity. Not everything needs to be explained.
Didn't they explain that in Prometheus?

That's nowhere near as annoying as "nobody thinks to fly around behind the giant walking robots in the snow with front facing guns only."

Yeah, and they were shooting the shit out of them without any apparent effect, until they tripped one over and it exploded after a couple of shots.

Also, why couldn't they just shoot the damn legs?

Wrong. Plot holes include a failure of logical thinking. And several of these meet that qualification.

it was a fair question McP..

in Alien, the ship they find seems to have been a victim of a contagion(facehuggers) on the navigator..

yet in Prometheus, the Aliens are they bio weaponry of the people who made the ships?

thats a plot hole..or an oversight, or a liberty being taken about leaps of faith on the audiences behalf.

In one of those terrible Expendables movies, the good guys blow shit up real good, but then need help from some lame sniper hiding on a cliff to cover them as they escape back to a plane. In the next scene they are all on the airplane, INCLUDING THE FUCKING SNIPER GUY. Its as if they took off in the plane, and then the sniper grew wings and flew up to join them in the plane, in the sky. Snipers with wings had not been established as far as I recall.

That is a plot hole.

Ummmmm. That's a continuity error, not a plot hole.

Alright fuckers. This is a plot hole.

In Shawshank Redemption, he was using the poster to cover the hole while he dug his escape tunnel. When he escaped, how the fuck did he stick the poster back on from inside the tunnel?

It depends what your definition of a plot hole is, I guess. Some will say that The Sixth Sense doesn't contain a plot hole because the stupid fucking kid says something like, "Dead people see what they want to see." I guess that's supposed to clear up the fact that the doctor went several months unaware that only the stupid fucking kid was communicating with him.

I was only nine years old when I saw the movie Fargo. As a result of seeing that movie so young, I've never understood why more movie characters don't shoot people in the leg.

He left it attached on the top two corners so he was able to pull up the bottom, slide in his hole, and let the poster fall back down.
